Preface
As this collection unfolds each week, I want you, dear reader or listener, to understand that no matter what you’re going through, what you’ve been through, there is an end—there is light at the end of the tunnel. Letting go of the past is only possible if you live in the present. Make the past history, learn what you can about yourself, at whatever pace is comfortable, and I promise your present will take you to a brighter future.
Reminded of the Time When the Darkness Came Close
Sleep tight, no worry of the choice he makes Sleep tight, no worry while he stays up late No shame, the pursuit of only pain No shame, what do you expect to gain Leaving all the thoughts behind Letting him take his own life No reason to care No love No love No love for anyone else. The game, no one can beat you at your game The fame, pretending to be what you’re not The tame, animal claws out and falters now This time, no one can help him out Leaving all the past behind Moving on to another time Repeat your sins Who cares! Who cares! No love for anyone else… No love for anyone but yourself You’re a soulless loveless creature Lying misdirecting always deceiving Breaking hearts and stealing time Ruining other people’s lives Who gave you the right to live When you condemn the right to live? It’s a shame a charade a body of pain And you stand there like it’s nothing You watch as he bleeds on the ground Waiting for the moment to pounce He saved you once a long time ago But know you’re all better and he must go Who knows Who knows! He knows you more than you know yourself. No love for anyone else No reason to care As he fades away As he passes through space The high he finds Further in time Further and further away From the one who caused him pain Release, release to some other place Where he can move with his grace Find some way to feel again Maybe believe his heart he can tend But who knows? He’s gone to the place where no others can trace He left behind two reasons to pace One is a theory that love is a lie The other is where he let his body lay…
