Poetry: #125 Outside Looking In (Hesitate and Grasp 17)
A selection from the collection: Hesitate and Grasp
Preface
The struggle is real. The battles of relationships, society, and personal challenges are real. This collection explores all that and concludes pretty concisely:
“Do not hesitate. Do not grasp.”
Or, as Yoda might say in a much clearer way:
“Do or do not, there is no try.”
Outside Looking In
Depthless souls rebound at the smallest burning ember Even as spirits reach out and claim the silence It may appear as if there were two lovers But to our eyes there is only violence Perspective in any reality Always altered in every eye Gone are the days of loyalty And ye with morbid thoughts will try
Question Section
Short and simple. If you’re comfortable sharing, have you ever seen a relationship with this push and pull, this bickering back and forth, maybe even to the point of being abusive? How did you respond? Was it someone you knew or just a random couple on the street? Why do you think people stay with those who hurt them, stunt their growth as an individual, or cause suffering for the sake of it? Share your comments below and let’s talk about them together.
